I love your post, but just PLEASE give me your recommendation. I live in Stockton, CA HOT HOT, car is a black convertible corvette, my last cover was for outdoors from CA Car Covers (one year old) and is letting lots of little dust/sand thru or deteriorating on to car I cannot tell.
I want one that work.s HELP

It’s to hard to say whether it’s dust or cover failure since California Car Covers sells several different types and qualities of covers. Since you’re using the cover outdoors I suggest looking at either the Covercraft WeatherShield HD or Covercraft NOAH.

The WeatherShield HD will stand up to the heat and sun longer but the NOAH will be a little softer and thicker. Both will block dust quite well. California Car Covers makes a NOAH material cover as well.

I recommend getting a custom fit regardless of which cover you get. Loose fitting covers allow wind to knock them around on your paint and blow dirt and dust up under the cover from the ground.

  2. I want to store my sports car outside. I live in Pittsburgh PA and we have snow and ice. Can you recommend a car cover for me? Thanks.

    1. The Covercraft NOAH would be your best bet. It is not only rated the best for standing up to snow and ice but it’s also plush for mild ding protection, something the Weathershield HD and HP lack. Just make sure you order it in custom fit so that it fits tightly to the car and doesn’t get blown around and beat up your paint.
